Acupuncture as a form of complementary medicine

Acupuncture is a safe and effective form of complementary medicine that can decrease pain and treat a variety of health issues in cats.

Many people are surprised at how cooperative cats generally are for the sessions. A relaxing point is generally the first area stimulated, and many cats rest or nap during sessions. Session length will vary depending on the condition being treated. The tiny needles stimulate the body to release pain relieving chemicals. Acupuncture can be used in conjunction with supplements and medications as well as other physical modalities such as therapeutic laser or PEMF. Dr. Loupe has attended acupuncture training courses and is excited to help decrease pain and inflammation in kitties. Please set up a consult with her to discuss the protocol that would be used to help your cat.
